Cindy, thanks for the comment. I'm wondering why this church wouldn't accept money from this guy but would accept money from a sinner like me and I've done alot worse than trying to win some money so I can make my life better!! This frankly is just silly in my opinion. Think of the GREAT things they could do with that money to help others in need who come to a church for help. I know ministries (ie. Food Pantries) that have to turn people away because they don't have the funds. The principle they are following just doesn't have any logic other than to say some sins are worse than others. Gambling must lead to something worse than eating too much at Rosa's... oops did I say that?!!! Silly church logic that drives alot of people crazy.

Hmmm, that is interesting! I think the lottery winner was trying to be faithful when he offered his tithe. Whether gambling is favored by God or not I think is not really the point.
Would a tithe from a prostitute be accepted? From a drug dealer? From a dishonest used car salesman? What about from anyone who sins?
Is the church encouraging gambling by accepting the tithe? I don't feel the need to purchase a lottery ticket after hearing that story. I don't really understand the problem here. What was the motive of the church?
Honestly, these kinds of stories frustrate me because they show the world how sometimes we Christians are so busy playing church that we are forgetting to BE the church, or Jesus, to those that need Him so desperately.
